What is there to do around Calgary?
(Stampede and outdoor pursuits in the Rocky Mountains.)

The biggest city in Alberta is Calgary, home of the Calgary Stampede
http://www.calgarystampede.com/stampede/. The capital of our province is Edmonton. Banff National Park and Jasper are within one day driving distance. There’s great hiking, camping and fishing in the summer, hunting season in the fall, and fantastic skiing, snowboarding and snowmobiling at numerous resorts in the winter.

Find information on outdoor pursuits in Canada's National Parks online from GORP, "your outdoor guide to recreation and active travel".
